Events this week 🗓️

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Let’s get to the good stuff.

  • Blue Aster is teaming up with Justin Vineyards for a one-night wine dinner downtown, pairing a curated menu with pours from the Paso Robles favorite. A good pick if you want something a little more elevated than the usual Thursday night.

  • January 22, 2026 | 6:00 PM | Blue Aster

  • Ease into the weekend with an intimate songwriter round at Thistle & Rye. Expect a cozy room, cocktails, and a lineup of local writers trading songs and stories.

  • January 22, 2026 | 6:30 PM | Thistle & Rye

  • Spend your Thursday at the show that built the city’s country cred. The Opry’s midday lineup brings a mix of legends and newer names to the Opry House stage.

  • January 22, 2026 | 12:00 PM | Grand Ole Opry House

  • If your ideal Thursday night is more Smashville than songwriter round, head to Bridgestone as the Preds host the Ottawa Senators. Loud crowd, downtown energy, and plenty of spots nearby to grab a drink before or after.

  • January 22, 2026 | 7:00 PM | Bridgestone Arena

  • One of the city’s best hunts for vintage finds and quirky treasures is back at The Fairgrounds. Wander rows of antiques, home goods, and oddities all weekend and see what you end up hauling home.

  • January 23–25, 2026 | Fri–Sat 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Sun 8:00 AM–4:00 PM | The Fairgrounds Nashville

  • Big Broadway energy in the middle of winter. The classic musical lands at TPAC for a limited run, so this is the weekend to finally see (or re‑see) "Les Mis" without hopping on a plane.

  • Through January 25, 2026 | Evening and matinee performances | Tennessee Performing Arts Center

  • Toast Dolly the only way Nashville knows how: with live music, themed brews, and plenty of sequins. Tennessee Brew Works is throwing a birthday party in her honor, so expect a very Dolly-forward playlist and a crowd ready to sing along.

  • January 24, 2026 | 2:00–8:00 PM | Tennessee Brew Works

  • Jackalope’s annual ode to Scotland returns with Highland Games, tartan everywhere, and special beer releases. It’s a fun left‑turn from the usual brewery hang if you’re into bagpipes, kilts, or just good people‑watching.

  • January 24, 2026 | 12:00–5:00 PM | Jackalope Brewing Company

  • Hop down to Franklin for a high‑energy tribute night built around ‘90s country heavyweights like Garth, Reba, and The Judds. It’s an easy option if you want a sing‑along show without the arena pricing.

  • January 22, 2026 | 7:00 PM | Franklin Theatre (Franklin, TN)

  • Reset on Sunday with a mat class at Assembly Food Hall before rolling straight into lunch upstairs. It’s beginner‑friendly, bring‑your‑own‑mat, and a chill way to move a bit before the workweek creeps back in.

  • January 25, 2026 | 9:00 AM | Assembly Food Hall

Concerts you don’t want to miss 🎶

  • Country favorite Brett Young brings the heartbreak hits and date‑night energy to the Mother Church for a Thursday show that’ll sell out date books and probably a few tissues.

  • January 22, 2026 | 7:30 PM | Ryman Auditorium

  • If your lane is more indie‑folk than big‑ticket country, Michael Nau’s set at The Blue Room is a solid bet. Expect warm songwriting, offbeat charm, and a crowd that’s there to actually listen.

  • January 22, 2026 | 8:00 PM | The Blue Room at Third Man Records

  • Over in East, Stanaj headlines The Basement East with support from Jack Avery and Clark Beckham. Think pop‑leaning vocals, R&B edges, and a room that feels like a big night without the arena hassle.

  • January 22, 2026 | 7:30 PM | The Basement East

  • Legendary soul and gospel icon Mavis Staples brings her still‑thunderous voice to the Mother Church for a Saturday night set that leans equal parts joy, grit, and history.

  • January 24, 2026 | 8:00 PM | Ryman Auditorium

  • Brooklyn Bowl turns into a brass‑heavy dance party when electronic‑funk duo The Floozies team up with horn trio Too Many Zooz on the "Too Many Flooz" tour—perfect if you want high energy and zero chill.

  • January 24, 2026 | 8:00 PM | Brooklyn Bowl Nashville

Stay in the know 🗞️

  • Big‑name chefs are on their way. José Andrés is bringing concepts like Zaytinya and Bar Mar to W Nashville in early 2026, adding even more firepower to the Gulch dining scene. (via José Andrés Group)

  • Over on the East Bank, Metro is pushing ahead on the new boulevard project and the future Nissan Stadium build—both big pieces in how getting around (and going to games and shows) will feel over the next few years. (via Axios Nashville)
